Signal Korean Tv series Review

Plot (source: asianwiki)

Hae-Young (Lee Je-Hoon) works as a criminal profiler and is also a police lieutenant. Even though he is a cop, he doesn't trust cops due to his own past experience. Back in 2000, when Hae-Young was in elementary school, his classmate Yoon-Jung was kidnapped and later found dead. Hae-Young saw a woman taking Yoon-Jung from school that day, but the police announced that the suspect was a man. Hae-Young even went to the police station and told the police officers that he saw the kidnapper and she was a woman. The police officers though didn't pay attention to him. The killer was never caught and her case remains unsolved to this day.

Hae-Young meets a reporter at a cafe to reveal bombshells about a celebrity scandal. Meanwhile, veteran detective Soo-Hyun (Kim Hye-Soo) is at the cafe staking out the meeting, unaware that Hae-Young is a cop. She arrests Soo-Hyun for stalking celebrities. While leaving the police station (the same police station he went to as a kid), Hae-Young hears someone talking to him. He looks around to find a walkie-talkie. The man who is talking to Hae-Young is Detective Jae-Han (Cho Jin-Woong). The detective though is from the year 2000 and he is investigating the disappearance of Hae-Young's elementary school classmate. Hae-Young and Detective Jae-Han begin to communicate via the walkie-talkie.

My thoughts:

I like the concept of this show it made me wonder how will it all end and if they can really change people's destiny. This unexplainable phenomena was crazy to begin with combined with the crime fighting and cold case squad this show was awesome!
Although there are some things that is a bit out of the time frame (technology wise) Lee Jae Han being able to use google mail in the year 2000. Google mail was I think introduce and made available to a few number of people in 2010 I remember signing up for that one and it took weeks to get in along with google+.

Spoiler alert!

There was a certain character who died after being sedated then lacerated in his wrist..I feel like even back then people can reverse that give him an antidote for whatever drug that was given to the victim(since they did a blood draw earlier),do a blood bag, disinfect then wrap the wrist. That's a fast quick solution and nobody needs to die.Oh and stab wound on the lower left quadrant of the abdomen there's no major organ there yosquad yes but with a certain amount of pressure, call an ambulance and get treated quickly you'll live but I guess they just want it to be overly dramatic Oh well...

The ending was still bittersweet will they be able to see him? Or will they be too late? I was left quite hangin in the moment there haha Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars so many things changed yet the 3 of them remembered.. what exactly are the rules of this aren't exactly explained. As strange as this show sounds it was thrilling and fun to watch especially solving a case and profiling. They are legit #squadgoals haha

Cast
Hyun Bin as Kim Joo Won
Ha Ji Won as Gil Ra Im
Yoon Sang Hyun as Choi Woo Young / Oska (Joo Won's cousin)
Kim Sa Rang as Yoon Seul
Lee Philip as Im Jong Soo
Lee Jong Suk as Han Tae Ssun
Yoo In Na as Im Ah Young
Kim Sung Oh as Kim Sung Woo (Joo Won's secretary)
Park Joon Geum as Moon Boon Hong
Choi Yoon So as Kim Hee Won (Joo Won's sister)

My Thoughts:

Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland with a twist although the main highlight of this retelling was the little mermaid also near the end it was funny how Kim Joo Won mentioned about other fairytale stories when asked by Gil Ra Im.

I actually watched this series before when it first came out but then I dunno I forgot about it,got irritated I guess or just was not getting it like what am I watching?! haha until eventually I gave it another shot and try to appreciate this series for what it was.

It was quite confusing at first and I feel like the body exchange this was just to make things interesting for the ratings? or just for them to both understand each other where they're coming from it's a good reality check haha!

Gil Ra Im ( Ha Ji Won) reminds me of the young Sharon Cuneta (Filipino Singer,Actress & TV Host) quite a resemblance...

Anyway, Kim Joo Won as Gil Ra Im was actually cute and hilarious!

In Episode 21 there's a lot of recap about this series Memorable Moments: here are some of it
cafe meet up kiss PRICELESS!

Lee Philip as Im Jong Soo (Director of the Martial Arts school) at first I'd like to ship him and Gil Ra Im but he seems so serious and when you look at him without his glasses in his contacts maybe he got one of those bug eyes look on his face haha! and I thought him and Kim Joo Won's sister would get together in the end a mini romance that would blossom but I guess there's not much time for that? but it was cute though..

Yoon Sang Hyun as Choi Woo Young / Oska he's so funny and cute I like it whenever him and Gil Ra Im conspires against Kim Joo Won and make people jealous around them.

Overall 4 out 5 stars! good story and a bit weird at first but it will eventually grow into you..you need to watch it of course to get what I mean.I has a really nice cute ending!

Sung Hoon as Jang Joon Sung (29) - Fighter
Henry as Kim Ji Woong (mid 20s) - Cutie

My Thoughts:

This series was recommended to me many times! and Finally I'm done with it woohoo!
very relatable fat-thin story. Cinderella beauty and brains at least that was what Kang Joo Eun (Shin Min Ah) aiming for. Let me share with you some of this series moments:

her transition was very gradual it took a couple of episodes to finally return to her Daegsu Venus form. (meaning she's the most beautiful and popular girl in her hometown)

her "bestfriend" on the other hand during college year looked like this..

to this...(meeting for the first time after so many years)

I like their first dinner out together of course Coach was against it but went with it anyway it's Venus day anyway haha

I mean we all have this dream moment when we finally lose all the weight walking down the runway Total makeover!

The moment I saw this guy again I thought I would never finish this series I don't like his cheating playboy character portrayal but this series sorta kinda like avenge himself since I didn't like his character in birth of beauty and didn't finish that series because ugh it was so irritating! his character over here at Oh my Venus got more depth and story behind it all.

Look at that weight loss moment!

Anyway, I feel happy with this series and sad at the same time. When Coach was hurting again and had to go away for rehabilitation in order to regain his physical form. The proposal and all that crazy knitting was heart warming! Cutie Pie Henry and Sung Hoon total great buddies in this series I like their Tandem I don't like the "CF Queen" who is totally annoying and stalking Sung Hoon but it was funny whenever she tried to flirt with him..would you like to go to dinner with me or kiss me? haha

There are times I feel like they are totally highlighting her dimples just like this one

This Dimple pop is the total selling point!

Oh and my favorite character would have to be cutie pie henry his Konglish is the best! and coach's secretary (the guy with glasses picture below) he's so serious yet funny at the same time!

I like it whenever they have this  new type of heart sign moments together they seem very close haha

His Christmas song Karaoke was Phenomenal :))

What else...I really hate Coach's greedy uncle the whole tragedy near the end happened because of him ugh but because of that Coach and Kang Joon's love flourish and there's no question about it! Overall 5 out of 5 stars! very touching, funny and heartwarming story! all the characters grew into me The ending caught me by surprise!

Producer | Korean Drama Review

Title: 프로듀사 / Peurodyusa
Also known as: The Producers
Genre: Drama
Episodes: 12
Broadcast network: KBS2
Broadcast period: 2015-May-15 to 2015-Jun-20
Air time: Friday & Saturday 21:15
Original Soundtrack: Producer OST

Synopsis:

A cheeky workplace romantic comedy, The Producers centers around, aptly, the producers working in KBS's variety department, featuring a bevy of cameo appearances from stars and a cascade of tongue-in-cheek references to showbiz, celebrities, and industry practices. Kim Soo Hyun continues his hot streak of hit projects as the bumbling rookie producer who's book-smart and street-stupid, while Cha Tae Hyun is his jaded veteran PD sunbae. Gong Hyo Jin plays a veteran PD whose prickly outer shell hides a softer inner marshmallow, and IU rounds out the cast as the haughty Kpop superstar. Shows are produced, mistakes are made, and people fall in love multiple times over.

Main Cast
Cha Tae Hyun as Ra Joon Mo (35, 1 Night 2 Day's PD)
Chae Sang Woo as teenage Joon Mo
Gil Jung Woo (길정우) as child Joon Mo
Kim Soo Hyun as Baek Seung Chan (27, KBS Entertainment World newbie PD)
Park Sang Hun as child Seung Chan
Gong Hyo Jin as Tak Ye Jin (35, Music Bank's PD)
Ha Seung Ri as teenage Ye Jin
Lee Ji Won (이지원) as child Ye Jin
IU as Cindy (23, singer/member of Pinky4)
Park Seon as teenage Cindy

My thoughts:

Kim Soo Hyun as Baek Seung Chan he definitely looked the part of an average looking newly hired employee haha! a lot of first moments happened here and it's so cute and adorable! some scenes are so funny that definitely breaks your typical romance and character stereotype.

At first I actually thought they are real producers as they all played their character well until I realized they all look familiar haha and the cameo roles was fantastic! Joon Kook got served! haha!
Oh and the seniority power struggle and drunk scenes I love it!

It's just so sad there's only a few episodes of this series but it's pretty understandable it can only go so long. And I like how I learned the grueling process of it all from getting hired,to casting, producing a show, editing the zombie type of feeling after work oh men! I totally get why you always want to party, eat good food/dinner and drink after all that and just imagine doing it all over again every day aigoo! I Totally salute all the people behind all the shows I've been watching! more power to you guys!

Overall I give this show 5 out of 5 stars for their outstanding performance!

She was pretty | Korean Drama Review

Characters: Top Left: Hwang Jung-Eum as Kim Hye-Jin Top Right: Choi Si-Won as Kim Shin-Hyuk
Lower Left Ji Sung-Joon as Park Seo-Joon Lower Right : Koh Joon-Hee Min Ha-Ri

Information Source: Asianwiki
Revised romanization: Geunyeoneun Yeppeodda
Hangul: 그녀는 예뻤다
Director: Jung Dae-Yoon
Writer: Jo Sung-Hee
Network: MBC
Episodes: 16
Release Date: September 16 - November 11, 2015
Language: Korean
Country: South Korea

About she was pretty:

When Sung-Joon (Park Seo-Joon) was young, he was ugly and fat. He also didn't have any friends, but popular and pretty Hye-Jin (Hwang Jung-Eum) became his friend. She gave him comfort on rainy days when Sung-Jung feels traumatized. They held a special connection with each other, but Sung-Joon and his father moved to the United States. 15 years later, Sung-Joon returns to South Korea. He and Hye-Jin are set to meet again for the first time in many years, but Hye-Jin is unable to show herself in front of Sung-Joon who is looking for her. Both of their appearances have completely changed. Sung-Joon is now handsome and perfect in his appearance, while Hye-Jin looks nothing like her former pretty self. Hye-Jin is also unemployed and looking for a job.

Hye-Jin then asks her best friend Ha-Ri (Koh Joon-Hee) for help. Ha-Ri is to pretend she is Hye-Jin and go meet Sung-Joon. At their meeting, Ha-Ra pretends to be Hye-Jin and tells Sung-Joon that she is leaving for England the next day to study.

Later, Hye-Jin, as an intern at a fashion magazine, meets Sung-Joon who is an editor at the fashion magazine.

My Thoughts:

I watched this with english subtitles of course haha each episode runs for 60 minutes or so. My favorite character is Choi Siwon as Kim Shin-Hyuk that crazy reporter guy haha! I love his personality on this one so fun and spontaneous unlike his serious character from skip beat this one is very  refreshing!

I really appreciate the flashbacks when they were young...

Seo Joon and Hye Jin (kid version) they're so cute! this is a very touching, cute and heartfelt moment.

I also love this scene she's like so immersed looking at the sky while he was just so at awe and admiring her and usually do a lot of crazy faces..such a funny romantic guy!

Kim Hye Jin Makeover! I waited for this to happen for a very long time and I personally like her crazy hair freckled face over this one haha

Choi Siwon Fan Service :OMG! and I love this scene I think it's so funny actually he just pops up in Seo Joon's house whenever he feels like it,borrow his underwear, take a bath and eat :))

My heart goes to Siwon I just love him so much! he likes & love hye jin whether she's ugly or pretty he doesn't really care about the superficial stuff and he's so much fun to be with! if only they met when they were little aww...and I actually gotten some spoilers from my Godma and friends about this series I figured the last bit but for the mysterious anonymous writer TEN I didn't know I thought it was the guy being interviewed for an article but the big reveal of that part was actually pretty spectacular!

The ending was cute! it's a go! haha you know what I mean if ever you already watched it xD

Overall... I really want to ship Kim Hye Jin and Shin Hyuk (Siwon) plus it was weird when Sung Joon didn't notice instantaneously how Hye Jin's face shrunk I mean Ha-Ri got a really small face! and comparing even to the young Hye Jin with hers I mean common! Oh well...men! he got high expectations for Hye Jin being pretty awesome and all he just didn't know a lot about her family (genes) and all...what else? Oh yeah I got stuck around episode 13 because it was so cheesy and it was just too much for me like before he ignores and doesn't care about her and now they're acting like OMG! I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU! ugh it was exhausting to watch! although going through episodes 1-12 was a breeze it was just 13 took me a month to hurdle. My Rating would be four out of five stars (4/5) I really liked this series I thoroughly enjoyed it even more due to Siwon's character haha!

PLUS! I love this song from their OST

My thoughts:

Another great recommendation from my good ol friend I never thought I'd like it this much! some scenes made me cry and laugh so hard some times I want to speed things up especially in solving the mystery of it all as the story line drags ugh -_- I'd still give it....

4.5 out of 5 stars

ok you can round it off to 5 stars hahaha anyway, I love this girl's character  Kim Seul Gi as Shin Soon Ae so bright, cheerful and full of youth!

also love love love this guy Kwak Shi Yang (Seo Joon) so cute!

One of my many favorite scenes is whenever they sing Congratulations! and this karaoke moment so funny :))

I really want him and bong to be together that sort of love triangle crossed my mind. And I never thought I'd like sous chef  he can be really funny or most of the times just plain annoying and he seems like he wants to go out for a drink every night with his coworkers who can't stand him but they're polite enough to go some nights oh such dilemma hahaha

and to sum up some of my feels thanks to drama fever for this awesome video compilation

also hello monster!
DAVE's cameo role! XD
this time his name is Edward something Kang Ki Young (Heo Min Soo) recall him as Alfred something hahaha didn't expect him to be here oh such good fanservice!

What else to say? it's soooooo good!such a great show! that ending though hmm..I thought one character was dead but  is actually alive and then their's this maybe fate thing or like just to push that sort of ending to other characters you know that nice possibility that everything ends well that good feeling so everyone would be ok/fine with it haha. Overall I would still recommend this show a lot! I hope you'd check it out and see for yourself! ^_^

My Thoughts:

This show was recommended to me by a good friend/colleague of mine I think this is also the first time I watched a sherlock-hannibal mystery detective police cases kinda thing korean style anyway, I'm happy to see Min Sung Wook (Son Myung Woo) here he's still so freakin hilarious there are times I dunno if I'm gonna take him seriously but that made him a much more effective character for me haha I think he's the only one I recognized here most of the cast are quite new to me.

What I like about this series is the plot twist and how they reveal stuff although it's kinda tedious but hey that's police work right there haha I feel sad and happy for the main characters sad because of what happened in their life growing up happy because they tried to make the best out of it! I don't like the ending where's the justice in that? although it's kinda okay they get what they want. I'm surprised to see there's only 16 episodes and they all seems to have the same phones just different casing I dunno what it is but it looks nice mayhaps sponsored oh well .Overall 4 out of 5 stars lots of stabbing not that gruesome although a bit eerie sometimes, the methods how they decipher stuff and how they unravel the mystery is nice the characters grew into me also their romantic interest..

March~Monthly Update

Hey Guys! I feel like so many cray things happened this month especially at work which I can't really talk about but just wowww! anywa...
